C A S E S T U D Y: AN OVERARCHING PLAN
Friends of the Dillon Ranger District
1) Why they need DEI
FDRD needed to develop programming that would align with growing Latiné, LGBTQ+, and women populations in the region they serve.
3) Our Solution
We have a plan to create a JEDI with our dedication to having 10%+ of FDRD’s programming to be community specific.
2) Key Findings
Programmings that were developed were too traditional. People wanted to see more women, LGBTQ+, or Spanish-speaking only events.
4) Our Plan
Work directly with the summer program director: The plan is host 10-20% of FDRD’s summer programming in Spanish, 1-3 events with Mountain Pride, and create a JEDI statement to improve grant acceptances.
